ramadan_hadith_9_body	'Abdur Rahman bin 'Abdul Qari said, "I went out in the company of 'Umar bin Al-Khattab one night in Ramadan to the mosque and found the people praying in different groups. A man praying alone or a man praying with a little group behind him. So, 'Umar said, 'In my opinion I would better collect these (people) under the leadership of one Qari (Reciter) (i.e. let them pray in congregation!)'. So, he made up his mind to congregate them behind Ubai bin Ka'b. Then on another night I went again in his company and the people were praying behind their reciter. On that, 'Umar remarked, 'What an excellent Bid'a (i.e. innovation in religion) this is; but the prayer which they do not perform, but sleep at its time is better than the one they are offering.' He meant the prayer in the last part of the night. (In those days) people used to pray in the early part of the night."	‘আবদুর রাহমান ইবনু ‘আবদ আল-ক্বারী (রহঃ) থেকে বর্ণিতঃ তিনি বলেন, আমি রমযানের এক রাতে ‘উমর ইবনুল খাত্তাব (রাঃ)- এর সাথে মসজিদে নাবাবীতে গিয়ে দেখি যে, লোকেরা এলোমেলোভাবে জামা’আতে বিভক্ত। কেউ একাকী সালাত আদায় করছে আবার কোন ব্যক্তি সালাত আদায় করছে এবং ইকতেদা করে একদল লোক সালাত আদায় করছে। ‘উমর (রাঃ) বললেন, আমি মনে করি যে, এই লোকদের যদি আমি একজন ক্বারীর (ইমামের) পিছনে জমা করে দেই, তবে তা উত্তম হবে। এরপর তিনি ‘উবাই ইব্‌নু ‘কাব (রাঃ)- এর পিছনে সকলকে জমা করে দিলেন। পরে আর এক রাতে আমি তাঁর [‘উমর (রাঃ)] সাথে বের হই। তখন লোকেরা তাদের ইমামের সাথে সালাত আদায় করছিল। ‘উমর (রাঃ) বললেন, কত না সুন্দর এই নতুন ব্যবস্থা! তোমরা রাতের যে অংশে ঘুমিয়ে থাক তা রাতের ঐ অংশ অপেক্ষা উত্তম যে অংশে তোমরা সালাত আদায় কর, এর দ্বারা তিনি শেষ রাত বুঝিয়েছেন, কেননা তখন রাতের প্রথমভাগে লোকেরা সালাত আদায় করত।

ramadan_hadith_12_body	Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Fasting is a shield (or a screen or a shelter). So, the person observing fasting should avoid sexual relation with his wife and should not behave foolishly and impudently, and if somebody fights with him or abuses him, he should tell him twice, 'I am fasting.' The smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. (Allah says about the fasting person), 'He has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The fast is for Me. So I will reward (the fasting person) for it and the reward of good deeds is multiplied ten times.'"	আবূ হুরায়রা (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিতঃ আল্লাহ্‌র রসূল (সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) বলেছেনঃ সিয়াম ঢাল স্বরূপ। সুতরাং অশ্লীলতা করবে না এবং মূর্খের মত কাজ করবে না। যদি কেউ তার সাথে ঝগড়া করতে চায়, তাকে গালি দেয়, তবে সে যেন দুই বার বলে, আমি সওম পালন করছি। ঐ সত্তার শপথ, যার হাতে আমার প্রাণ, অবশ্যই সওম পালনকারীর মুখের গন্ধ আল্লাহ্‌র নিকট মিসকের সুগন্ধির চাইতেও উৎকৃষ্ট, সে আমার জন্য আহার, পান ও কামাচার পরিত্যাগ করে। সিয়াম আমারই জন্য। তাই এর পুরস্কার আমি নিজেই দান করব। আর প্রত্যেক নেক কাজের বিনিময় দশ গুণ।

Fasting is for Me, and I shall reward for it.' Fasting is a shield from the Fire. The smell coming from the mouth of the one fasting is more pleasant to Allah than the scent of musk. If one of you is abused by an ignorant person while fasting, then let him say: 'Indeed I am fasting.'"	তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ (সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) বলেছেনঃ তোমাদের প্রতিপালক বলেন, “প্রতিটি সৎ কাজের প্রতিদান হলো দশ গুণ হতে সাত শত গুণ পর্যন্ত। কিন্তু রোযা শুধুমাত্র আমার জন্যই এবং এর প্রতিদান আমি নিজেই দিব।” রোযা জাহান্নাম হতে (বাঁচার) ঢালস্বরূপ। আল্লাহ্ তা’আলার নিকট রোযা পালনকারীর মুখের গন্ধ কন্তুরী ও মিশ্‌ক আম্বরের গন্ধের চেয়েও অধিক পছন্দনীয়। তোমাদের কোন রোযা পালনকারীর সাথে যদি কোন জাহিল মূৰ্খতা সুলভ আচরণ করে তবে সে যেন বলে, আমি রোযাদার। -সহীহ, তা’লীকুর রাগীব (২/৫৭-৫৮), সহীহ আবূ দাঊদ (২০৪৬)

ramadan_hadith_16_body	The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyan, and those who observe fasts will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection and none except them will enter through it. It will be said, 'Where are those who used to observe fasts?' They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After their entry the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it."	সাহল (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিতঃ নবী (সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) বলেনঃ জান্নাতের রাইয়্যান নামক একটি দরজা আছে। এ দরজা দিয়ে কিয়ামতের দিন সওম পালনকারীরাই প্রবেশ করবে। তাদের ব্যতীত আর কেউ এ দরজা দিয়ে প্রবেশ করতে পারবে না। ঘোষণা দেয়া হবে, সওম পালনকারীরা কোথায়? তখন তারা দাঁড়াবে। তারা ব্যতীত আর কেউ এ দরজা দিয়ে প্রবেশ করবে না। তাদের প্রবেশের পরই দরজা বন্ধ করে দেয়া হবে। যাতে করে এ দরজাটি দিয়ে আর কেউ প্রবেশ না করে।

ramadan_hadith_17_body	Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to practice I`tikaf (in the mosque) in the middle third of Ramadan and after passing the twenty nights he used to go back to his house on the 21st, and the people who were in I`tikaf with him also used to go back to their houses. Once in Ramadan, in which he practiced I`tikaf, he established the night prayers at the night in which he used to return home, and then he addressed the people and ordered them whatever Allah wished him to order and said, "I used to practice I`tikaf for these ten days (i.e. the middle third but now I intend to stay in I`tikaf for the last ten days (of the month); so whoever was in I`tikaf with me should stay at his place of seclusion. I have verily been shown (the date of) this Night (of Qadr) but I have forgotten it. So search for it in the odd nights of the last ten days (of this month). I also saw myself (in the dream) prostrating in mud and water." On the night of the 21st, the sky was covered with clouds and it rained, and the rainwater started leaking through the roof of the mosque at the praying place of the Prophet (ﷺ) . I saw with my own eyes the Prophet (ﷺ) at the completion of the morning prayer leaving with his face covered with mud and water.	আবূ সা’ঈদ খুদরী (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিতঃ তিনি বলেন, আল্লাহর রসূল (সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) রমযান মাসের মাঝের দশকে ই’তিকাফ করেন। বিশ তারিখ অতীত হওয়ার সন্ধ্যায় এবং একুশ তারিখের শুরুতে তিনি এবং তাঁর সঙ্গে যাঁরা ই’তিকাফ করেছিলেন সকলেই নিজ নিজ বাড়িতে প্রস্থান করেন এবং তিনি যে মাসে ইতিকাফ করেন ঐ মাসের যে রাতে ফিরে যান সে রাতে লোকদের সামনে ভাষণ দেন। আর তাতে মাশাআল্লাহ, তাদেরকে বহু নির্দেশ দান করেন, অতঃপর বলেন যে, আমি এই দশকে ই’তিকাফ করেছিলাম। এরপর আমি সিদ্ধান্ত করেছি যে, শেষ দশকে ই’তিকাফ করব। যে আমার সংগে ই’তিকাফ করেছিল সে যেন তার ই’তিকাফস্থলে থেকে যায়। আমাকে সে রাত দেখানো হয়েছিল, পরে তা ভুলিয়ে দেয়া হয়েছে। (আল্লাহর রাসূল (সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) বললেন): শেষ দশকে ঐ রাতের তালাশ কর এবং প্রত্যেক বেজোড় রাতে তা তালাশ কর। আমি স্বপ্নে দেখেছি যে, ঐ রাতে আমি কাদা-পানিতে সিজদা করছি। ঐ রাতে আকাশে প্রচুর মেঘের সঞ্চার হয় এবং বৃষ্টি হয়। মসজিদে আল্লাহর রসূল (সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) - এর সালাতের স্থানেও বৃষ্টির পানি পড়তে থাকে। এটা ছিল একুশ তারিখের রাত। যখন তিনি ফজরের সালাত শেষে ফিরে বসেন তখন আমি তাঁর দিকে তাকিয়ে দেখতে পাই যে, তাঁর মুখমন্ডল কাদা-পানি মাখা।

ramadan_hadith_17_body	Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to practice I`tikaf (in the mosque) in the middle third of Ramadan and after passing the twenty nights he used to go back to his house on the 21st, and the people who were in I`tikaf with him also used to go back to their houses. Once in Ramadan, in which he practiced I`tikaf, he established the night prayers at the night in which he used to return home, and then he addressed the people and ordered them whatever Allah wished him to order and said, "I used to practice I`tikaf for these ten days (i.e. the middle third but now I intend to stay in I`tikaf for the last ten days (of the month); so whoever was in I`tikaf with me should stay at his place of seclusion. I have verily been shown (the date of) this Night (of Qadr) but I have forgotten it. So search for it in the odd nights of the last ten days (of this month). I also saw myself (in the dream) prostrating in mud and water." On the night of the 21st, the sky was covered with clouds and it rained, and the rainwater started leaking through the roof of the mosque at the praying place of the Prophet (ﷺ) . I saw with my own eyes the Prophet (ﷺ) at the completion of the morning prayer leaving with his face covered with mud and water.	আবূ সা’ঈদ খুদরী (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিতঃ তিনি বলেন, আল্লাহর রসূল (সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) রমযান মাসের মাঝের দশকে ই’তিকাফ করেন। বিশ তারিখ অতীত হওয়ার সন্ধ্যায় এবং একুশ তারিখের শুরুতে তিনি এবং তাঁর সঙ্গে যাঁরা ই’তিকাফ করেছিলেন সকলেই নিজ নিজ বাড়িতে প্রস্থান করেন এবং তিনি যে মাসে ইতিকাফ করেন ঐ মাসের যে রাতে ফিরে যান সে রাতে লোকদের সামনে ভাষণ দেন। আর তাতে মাশাআল্লাহ, তাদেরকে বহু নির্দেশ দান করেন, অতঃপর বলেন যে, আমি এই দশকে ই’তিকাফ করেছিলাম। এরপর আমি সিদ্ধান্ত করেছি যে, শেষ দশকে ই’তিকাফ করব। যে আমার সংগে ই’তিকাফ করেছিল সে যেন তার ই’তিকাফস্থলে থেকে যায়। আমাকে সে রাত দেখানো হয়েছিল, পরে তা ভুলিয়ে দেয়া হয়েছে। (আল্লাহর রাসূল (সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) বললেন): শেষ দশকে ঐ রাতের তালাশ কর এবং প্রত্যেক বেজোড় রাতে তা তালাশ কর। আমি স্বপ্নে দেখেছি যে, ঐ রাতে আমি কাদা-পানিতে সিজদা করছি। ঐ রাতে আকাশে প্রচুর মেঘের সঞ্চার হয় এবং বৃষ্টি হয়। মসজিদে আল্লাহর রসূল (সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) - এর সালাতের স্থানেও বৃষ্টির পানি পড়তে থাকে। এটা ছিল একুশ তারিখের রাত। যখন তিনি ফজরের সালাত শেষে ফিরে বসেন তখন আমি তাঁর দিকে তাকিয়ে দেখতে পাই যে, তাঁর মুখমন্ডল কাদা-পানি মাখা।
